Facade

Facade (Façade) is an interactive, first-person experience, where you'll take on the role of a dinner guest at the house of two friends. These friends are a couple that, after their wedding and honeymoon, seem to be going through a rough patch. What happens during the dinner depends completely on you, the dinner guest. Although it's camouflaged as a first person-adventure, Façade is an authentic experiment in terms of artificial intelligence, whose objective is to transcend the classic tree narrative present in the majority of video games. In other words, in Façade you won't find correct or incorrect answers that will lead you to predetermined situations. Instead, all of the action develops like it would in an improvised piece. You can control your character's movement, name him or her, and move freely throughout the hosts' house. Likewise, you can communicate with them by writing anything on the screen. If you write something that doesn't make sense, your character will say something that doesn't make any sense. If you say something offensive, they'll be offended. Other possible interactions in Façade include hugging either one of the two characters in the game or grabbing some objects in the scene. Everything you do will have its consequences and you'll rarely play the same game twice. Façade is a unique interactive experience that doesn't get old. Its graphics are not very attractive, but the 'game' offers a lot aside from that.

Dreadout

Dreadout is a psychological horror game in the same vein as the popular franchise Fatal Frame, in which you join a group of Asian students who travel to an old abandoned Indonesian city, where they find much more than expected. The game starts to throw a series of terrifying events at you shortly after you arrive at your destination. Playing the hero, a young high school student, you enter an abandoned town which, despite showing no visible signs of life, is the home of number of otherworldly spirits, which prove to be anything but friendly. The only weapon you have at your disposal is a camera, with which you can see and photograph the ghosts and demons. And to make use of it, you must constantly change perspective from the usual third person view for moving the around, to a first person view for looking through the camera. You can't just rely on the camera to survive. Instead, you must also have good reflexes to avoid the spirits when they attack. Dreadout really is an excellent horror game that will delight fans of Fatal Frame/Project Zero, and thanks to its superior graphics and spooky atmosphere, you will be sure to experience some genuine terror along the way.

Machinarium

Machinarium is a graphic adventure the stads out due to its graphic quality and its environment. The action takes place on a faraway planet, where a spaceship places several metal pieces in a scrap dump. Among those pieces, there are several parts of the main character's body parts, a small robot that will need your help to keep going level to level. We'll have to solve some puzzles to beat this level. Like in those old games, we'll have to use the pieces we find in the scenario to do actions and pass the levels. In short, if you miss some good adventure game action, Machinarium is a great choice to enjoy them all over again.

Tomb Raider Legend

Tomb Raider: Legend is the new release of Tomb Raider, one of the most famous games of the 90’s and 2000. This time, Lara Croft comes back more renewed than ever and with a new aim: Find a reliquia in South America. Tomb Raider: Legend shows us a lot of differences compared with the previous versions of the game, among others, the game has been translated into several languages, including voices and comments. The graphical environment has been enhanced thanks to Crystal Dynamics and the character is even more real. One Late Night is a horror game in first person in which players take on the role of a security guard for a group of offices, who must pass, what at first seems like a quiet night, without getting startled. The mechanics of the game are very simple. You can only move with the arrow keys through all the offices and interact minimally with the environment, opening and closing doors and drawers, or taking some other object. That will be the beginning of the story, of course, because as the night draws on strange things begin to happen around you. At first, it will be just strange messages on your computer screen or a phone ringing, but the time will come when there will be real fear. Graphically, One Late Night is an outstanding title being a free and independent game. The scenarios are very detailed and the textures are awesome. In addition, the lighting effects are very well done. One Late Night is a scary game, that really gets scary. At all times, you feel helpless against the unknown threats, and discover that the peaceful offices where you start the story, can start to become terrifying.

P.T. for PC

P.T. for PC is a project whose aim is to translate the terrifying experience playable in the original P.T.—which appeared exclusively on Playstation 4 and then was eliminated from the platform—on PC. The result is practically identical to what PS4 players enjoyed back in the day. P.T. starts with a character trapped in a house. Your aim is to escape the inside of the house, which will require you to cross one highway after another. Every time you go down a hall, though, something will have changed. Like this, by going down a hall in one way or another, you've got to solve the puzzle that lets you escape. If, that is, fear doesn't get the best of you first. This PC version of P.T. is as terrifying as the one for PS4. The game has graphics that are practically identical to the original and manage to transmit the same feeling of strain and darkness. This sensation is obviously considerably magnified if you play in the dark and with headphones. P.T. for PC is a brilliant project thanks to which many players can enjoy one of the most terrifying gaming experiences ever for the first time. Not for nothing did Hideo Kojima and Guillermo del Toro join forces to bring this small creature to life.

7 Days

The Fun Pimps

7 Days is a first-person horror adventure game in which you play a character who wakes up in a mysterious room and discovers he is locked inside a house full of doors, most of them locked. The aim of the adventure is to stay alive for a full 7 days in the house, which, as quickly becomes clear, will not be easy due to the presence of a strange and bodiless creature. Accordingly, one of your missions is to find out just what the hell happened in that house. You must carefully go round the house, finding any clues that may be tucked away here and there. Pools of blood, paintings, books... there are many things in the house to put you on the trail of what exactly happened. In any case, the game largely revolves around collecting keys. Most doors in the house are locked, and opening them will require keys, which are hidden everywhere: pots, books, etc.. 7 Days is a horror adventure that can really give you more frights than you might expect. One of those games that make even the bravest jump out of their seats.

Misao

Misao is a terror game developed entirely by Sen (creator of 'Mad Father', also available on Uptodown), where the player assumes the role of a young schoolgirl who watches as a good day at her institution turns into an authentic nightmare. The gameplay is very similar to that of the majority of other games developed using RPG Maker and similar programs. So, from an aerial perspective you will control Aki, the protagonist, while you explore different rooms, speak with people, and above all, try to survive. The story behind Misao is its strongest point. It's a terrifying story with no limits, where you'll find extreme violence, murder, insults, and many other elements not appropriate for players under 18 years of age. Additionally, those who have played 'Mad Father' in the past will run into some references to that game. Misao is a shocking game, one of those that leaves you with a bad feeling after playing, but its quality is undeniable. It's not very impressive graphically, nor is the story very long, but it's well worth your time to take a look at this excellent horror game.

Slender is a first person horror game in which the main character will need to find series of pages of a manuscript, which will be scattered through a forest. The only problem you ask? Its night, its very dark, you only have one flashlight... and did you see that? There is something else by those trees. The controls of the game are very simple: you move with the directional keys, you see with your mouse and use the flashlight with your mouse button. The main character will only be able to run from one side to the other, in case you meet up with the mysterious creature that lives in the forest, RUN! This game is really short, and normally won't take you more than fifteen minutes to complete. The one thing we can assure you is that those fifteen minutes will be very intense and you will get scared.

Imscared

ImScared is a first-person adventure game that immerses you in a pixelated world with an aesthetic somewhere between Wolfenstein 3D and Minecraft, though with a much more gloomy atmosphere. One element stands out within the game: the creature. It's a strange being that follow you through the whole game, watching you, similar to the classic 'Slender Man' games. Your objective is of course to escape and abandon this mysterious setting, leaving all of the terror behind. Imscared is a short but intense game. Gameplay is simple and mainly based in exploration, ideal for maintaining a constant sense of unease. The majority of the game involves traveling through hallways and looking for keys to open locked doors. The question is, though: do you really want to open those doors?

Baldi's Basics in Education and Learning

Baldi's Basics in Education and Learning is a first-person horror game inspired by educational games from the 1990s where you walk through a school while collecting notebooks. The problem? Professor Baldi is chasing you the entire time. Your objective in the normal game mode is to find all seven notebooks and escape from the school. The notebooks are scattered all over the building, however, so you'll have to explore each and every corridor with spooky Professor Baldi hot on your heels. And if Baldi catches up to you, it's game over. This game also has an infinite mode where you find as many notebooks as you can. In this mode, the game ends only when Baldi catches you. But you'll soon realize that there are other teachers in the school, too, all of whom are looking for a reason to take you to detention. They can also make you jump rope if they see you in a forbidden area. Baldi's Basics in Education and Learning is a horror game with a unique aesthetic. It may appear relatively innocent at first glance, but don't be fooled, because it's scary enough to make you jump. Professor Baldi's method, after all, should never be forgotten.

SCP - Containment Breach

SCP - Containment Breach is a terrifying first-person adventure where the player controls a test subject trapped inside a lab full of paranormal creatures. What began as a simple test that might have killed your character, however, ends in tragedy. At the beginning of the adventure, a power problem in the lab sets all of the creatures being studied loose. Your mission is very simple: survive the nightmare. To survive, you'll have to run through the complex's hallways and rooms, looking for anything that might help you. A gas mask, batteries for your flashlight, and keys to open certain doors will be crucial to your survival. In addition to all of the supernatural creatures you will come across in the SCP lab's hallways, you'll have to be careful of the soldiers, since they don't want you to escape. SCP - Containment Breach is an interesting adventure game of supernatural terror with great scene randomization. The story is always the same, but the hallways in the complex will change every time you play.

The Witch's House

The Witch's House is a horror game in which the player takes on the role of little Viola, a girl that gets lost in the woods and ends up in a mysterious house in the middle of nowhere. Unfortunately for her, the house ends up being a diabolical place, home to a witch... who needs a new body: hers. During our adventure in the mysterious house we get to explore its every corner, picking up clues and talking to some very interesting characters, all in our attempt to escape. It won't be easy. The house seems to have a life of its own... and the witch, Ellen, is not willing to let Viola escape so easily, as we will soon find out. The Witch's House is a pretty harsh horror game. Not so much for the blood, which there is plenty of, but for the story itself, which can, depending on how it carries out, lead us to witness a completely crushing ending. So we best watch our actions carefully if we don’t want to end up destroyed. The Witch's House is a very good independent adventure game, and a great example of what can be done using RPG Maker VX. This is, without a doubt, a very special game.

The Very Organized Thief

The Very Organized Thief is a stealth game where players assume the role of a thief who, once inside a house, must steal a list of objects before the owner gets home. The objects you must steal and your location will change every time you play, so you'll rarely have the same experience twice. Although you only steal objects from the list, you can pick up and mess with the other items in the house, too, and even collect piles of money to give you a better score at the end of the game. Once you've been inside the house a few minutes, you'll hear a car arrive. That's when you know there are only a few seconds left until the owner walks in. And if you get caught ... he'll knock you unconscious and it'll be game over. The Very Organized Thief is a fun game of stealth and exploration, with good graphics and a very original concept. And thanks to the random way the adventure develops, you can return to play it as often as you like.

Spooky's Jump Scare Mansion

Spooky's Jump Scare Mansion is a first person horror game that's all the more potent because it doesn't seem scary at first. When you start playing, a beautiful young ghost will welcome you in and invite you on a tour of her mansion. You'll start to think, 'this isn't very scary.' But, you'll soon realize you're wrong. Although Spooky's Jump Scare Mansion' aesthetic is charming and cartoony, the game is full of horror. At first, everything is more innocent, with cardboard cutouts of ghosts and other harmless monsters. But the real terror hasn't yet begun. We're talking about a game that includes 1000 rooms. But, to get to the end, you'll have to pass through the other 999. Along the way, you'll discover more and more about the different characters, which will make things even more tense. A common mistake people make with Spooky's Jump Scare Mansion is playing only five or 10 rooms and deciding it's not scary. At first the game is only preparing you for what's about to come. And that stuff is worth waiting for, especially since there's so much of it. Every 50 levels you can save the game by touching the cross found in the elevators. Spooky's Jump Scare Mansion is a very good first person horror game that will definitely scare you. Also, the graphics are great and the soundtrack is outstanding.

To do this, you will have to overcome different obstacles you will find in your race to the finish line, always in a fun way. In Stumble Guys (GameLoop), you will find great difficulties in reaching the end, but you will have a good time: giant snowballs, platforms that fall to the ground, bars that hit, etc. Stumble Guys (GameLoop)'s control system is simple, as it has controls for all audiences: you will move using the joystick in the direction you prefer and pressing the jump button that will help you to overcome obstacles and keep moving forward with momentum when you are in the air. Thanks to Stumble Guys (GameLoop)'s colorful art design and the various avatars you can use, the gaming experience will lead to rewarding moments with your friends. Character skins can be unlocked by paying with the gold you get when playing the game. Stumble Guys (GameLoop) is a charming multiplayer video game with a fun gameplay and a very nice visual design where you will face other players to achieve victory. This title is considered a clone of Fall Guys.

AM2R (Another Metroid 2 Remake)

AM2R stands for 'Another Metroid 2 Remake' which is the true nature of this project. In essence it's a remake of Metroid II: Return of Samus, released for Game Boy in 1991, and whose main appeal was its radical graphics that were (at the time) ahead of their days and preceded Super Metroid on Super Nintendo and Metroid: Zero Mission also remade for Game Boy Advance from the first original title designed for NES. In the game you'll embody Samus Aran once more, and you'll have to face off against new evolutions of the Metroids in the depths of planet SR388. Or what's the same, you'll live a further development of Metroidvania where you'll run through winding scenarios with only your map to guide you as it is generated on the spot. You'll find improvements for your equipment and suit that'll allow you to beat obstacles that appear suddenly along the way. AM2R is an awesome game that works seamlessly with today's PCs and Windows. Although its aesthetics will take you back to times long gone on 16 bit consoles; its mechanics and development are still current. Definitely a fan game worth keeping an eye on, and that has nothing to envy when compared with today's officially commercialized video games.

Mad Father is a very special adventure, where you control a little girl who, after a few accidents in his mansion, realizes that something is wrong with her father. It wouldn't be good to explain too much about the game's storyline, because a lot of the game's interest comes from untangling the mysterious horrors that lie in wait in the mansion. All these horrors are seen from the point of view of a little girl, the daughter of the mad scientist... and he is very violent. The game mechanics are pretty simple. You just explore the mansion, talking to various characters you meet along the way, picking up and using items when necessary, and unraveling the mystery surrounding your father. Mad Father is a horror game. By its compelling environment and storyline, this game will keep you glued to the screen through the length of the adventure.

Your goal is easy and difficult at the same time because you'll have to survive. That means you'll have to sleep, eat, not to panic, steal things, fight against zombies, help other survivors, etc. Graphics, viewed from a top-down view and retro look give that sense of unease you'll need to play this good game. In addition, you'll only view what the character would really see and the rest of the map will remain in darkness, so you won't view what's behind you. Project Zomboid is a funny game with stunning mechanics and lots of hours of fun.

Minetest is an adventure, survival, and freestyle creation game loosely based on Minecraft. The difference is that it's open-source and totally free. That basically means that the user base constantly uploads new content. This game encourages your creativity, much like Minecraft. You can break blocks, stack them, forge tools and other objects, create buildings, and anything else you can imagine. There are two game modes available: sandbox and normal. The first one has an unlimited cache of blocks. The normal one, however, makes you work hard to survive. Without a doubt, the best thing about Minetest is that you can play online with friends by creating and building on your own servers. That means you can share space with more than a dozen players and work together in creating any type of building. Minetest is the best free alternative to Minecraft. The advantages and possibilities don't end there, they continue with your own vision. Make sure you check out the images and tap into the limitless potential that Minetest offers you.

Terasology is a game openly inspired by and based on Minecraft and which, in spite of being in an early development stage, is working on adding new features to the original formula, like the possibility to have creatures employed in your service in the style of Dungeon Keeper or Dwarf Fortress. Along with these small additions, Terasology offers similar mechanics to Minecraft, in which you can go along breaking and collecting all types of blocks, using them to build structures, store in your inventory, etc. These tactics also allow you to create different tools, use weapons, illuminate dark spaces with torches, eat certain mixtures to recover life force, and all kinds of other possibilities. All of this is built with graphics that maintain Minecraft's block-based style while adding new and original elements to make the experience more attractive. The water and the sky are two spectacular examples. Terasology is an impressive 'sandbox' game that, in addition to being free and open to many possibilities, offers excellent graphics and sound.

Who’s Your Daddy, from the start, is a joke made in bad taste. It’s a multiplayer game where two players play a father and his infant son. The father's objective is to save the baby from all the dangers in the house, whether it’s by closing closets, hiding cleaning products, or deactivating the power outlets. On the other hand, the baby's gruesome mission is to end his own life as soon as possible. Each round of the game lasts only a few minutes. The baby’s health deteriorates as he ingests harmful products or hurts himself with dangerous objects. If he dies, the game's over. Who’s Your Daddy could be seen as a pretty offensive game, but it’s really just about innocent fun. The graphics are definitely disturbing, but at least they don't make you take anything that happens on the screen too seriously.

You start the game in the room of the main character, where you can change her knickers or take a look at the shrine she has created for her senpai. From there you can go straight to school, or bike around the city. Almost all the action in Yandere Simulator happens at the school, where many other students are with you. You can talk to them to improve your reputation and search the buildings, too. The most important thing is, of course, that you can use lots of different weapons to kill them. Once dead, you can drag their bodies and try to hide them. You can change your hairstyle at any time during the game just by pressing H. You can also change accessories and your glasses. There are lots of interesting curiosities in this game just waiting to be discovered. Yandere Simulator is a stealth game that's surprisingly good despite being in such an early stage of development. It has an enormous amount of content and really nice graphics. All indications point to the likelihood that once it's done, it will be a real hit.
