Mortal Kombat Defenders of the Earth is a fangame that brings back characters from the 2D installments of the popular saga from Midway. Median XL is an absolutely spectacular mod for Diablo II that manages to do something that in the 2000s probably seemed impossible: improve and expand one of the best ARPGs in history. The mod also has a colossal and very active online community, with numerous servers located on different continents, where special events are held from time to time. The process will be finished in just a couple of minutes. What happens if you don't have a legal copy of Diablo? Well, you can always play the shareware version of the game, which can be downloaded from many different sources. In the Diablo demo, you can't talk with the residents in Tristram or progress further than the third level, where you will inevitably meet the Butcher. This isn't the complete experience, of course. But it does give you a little taste of what the game has to offer. Among the upgrades that DevilutionX offers, with regards to the original Diablo, there is a significant increase in resolution, as well as support for several mods that you can find on the official website. With these mods, you can enjoy better lighting and you can even play online with up to 16 other players. DevilutionX is an excellent way to enjoy the parent of modern action RPGs on the latest computer generations. Despite how old it is, the game still offers one of the most polished experiences in the genre. What's more, unlike other games, with its durable gaming system and lovely visuals (that can be made even better), it is still a very accessible game.

One of the most interesting new features of Castlevania Chronicles II - Simon's Quest compared to the original is the ability to save the game. No more passwords. Instead, you can save your progress from a multitude of checkpoints scattered throughout the scenarios. And considering that the difficulty level in this game is quite high, you'd better save the game often. You'll start the adventure with only three lives and, if you lose them all, the game ends. Another great new feature that veterans of the franchise will appreciate is the new money system. You no longer have to use hearts to buy items and use sub-weapons. Instead, you can get money for killing enemies, which you can later use to buy all kinds of upgrades in the villages. Among these improvements, for example, you'll find two new sub-weapons that, although they weren't included in the original version, still come from the saga: the axe and the cross. Castlevania Chronicles II - Simon's Quest is an outstanding fan-game that not only manages to modernize one of the most beloved games from the Castlevania saga but also manages to improve it. It's also worth mentioning that it has a powerful soundtrack with some spectacular metal remixes. In short, it's a real treat for fans.

In addition to a number of improvements and fixes, this remake also includes a good amount of additional content, with new campaigns, new special levels, new monsters, and improvements to the controls. All these new features, however, have been incorporated in an attempt to preserve the game's original essence. Installing KeeperFX is simple, it can be done by following just two steps. The first and perhaps the most important step is to have the original Dungeon Keeper installed on the PC, as many of these files are required. You can either use the original CD-ROM if you still have it at home, or the digital version that you can download from Origin or GOG. After installing Dungeon Keeper, you will be able to run the KeeperFX Launcher, in which you simply have to indicate the installation directory of the game. After a few seconds, a message will pop up to tell you that the process has been successful and you can start playing. Before doing so, however, you should ideally choose your preferred screen resolution. One of the key aspects of KeeperFX is that it allows you to enjoy the original game, with little variation, on a modern PC. In other words, you can play the classic Campaign Mode, with all its levels, while enjoying a higher screen resolution, and some subtle improvements in the controls. In every other respect, the game will be just how you remember it. This option allows purists to revel once more in one of the best single-player campaigns in the history of strategy video games, culminating in the legendary Skybird Trill level. Replaying the original Dungeon Keeper campaign is a lot of fun, but KeeperFX offers much, much more. You will find more than half a dozen additional campaigns, each with more than a dozen levels created by the community of fans following this game. And that's not all. As you play these new levels you will even be able to recruit new creatures, such as the Druid or Time Mage, which have their own special abilities. It is worth noting that these new creatures are only available in the new levels, not in the original ones. The original Dungeon Keeper had a multiplayer mode, but as some players may have found, the stability of online play was never its strong point. Thanks to KeeperFX that is now a thing of the past. The remake greatly improves the stability of online games, offering the possibility of playing through TCP/IP as well as through ENET/UDP. As a result, up to four players can face off in the dark dungeons of Dungeon Keeper in exciting multiplayer encounters. Download KeeperFX if you like video games and want to experience one of Peter Molyneux's latest masterpieces first-hand. Thanks to this remake you can play an iconic 1997 title, with all the comforts and advantages of a modern PC, regardless of the version of Windows you are using or your screen resolution. This is undoubtedly the best way to enjoy Dungeon Keeper.

Tales of Middle Earth is a mod for Age of Empires II: The Conquerors, which allows you to enjoy a new campaign set exclusively in the fantastical world of Lord of the Rings, and all the exciting features that come with it. In this mod, you can find a ton of new buildings, with their corresponding animated construction and destruction, ranging from the Barad-dûr tower itself to the plains and fields of the Rohan battle. You will also come across 30 types of new units spread among 18 different factions.
