Snowball's Chance is a short platformer starring a snowball. In it, your goal is to get the snowball to the end of each of the 18 levels, separated into three different types of settings. As you play, you'll want to avoid all the obstacles you find along the way, since the slightest mistake can spell the end for Snowball. Visually speaking, Snowball's Chance is not that great. Although it's colorful, the general design of the characters and scenarios leaves a lot to be desired. Luckily, the most important part of a game is its gameplay, not its appearance. Snowball's Chance is an entertaining platform game, and although it's very short, it's also completely free. Can't hurt anything to give it a shot.

Alter Ego is a very special two-dimensional platform game in which you control not only the game's protagonist, but also his shadow. That means that you have to be doubly careful, since both avatars can suffer damages. Gameplay is pretty simple, except for the part where you have to control two characters at the same time. You need to pick up all of the floating pixels on each level, avoiding the enemies that will try to finish you off while you do so. The main difficulty comes when you realize that the majority of the pixels you need to collect can only be acquired by one of your hero's two parts: his real self. And, each level only allows you to change between the two parts a limited number of times. Visually, Alter Ego is a very pretty game that uses a simple pixelated design with colorful levels and characters. It may remind you of neon lights in a dark night, and this gives the game some spectacular moments. Alter Ego is a fun platform game that serves up an interesting twist on normal gameplay. It's a great game that, although it's a little short, is sure to please fans of the genre.

Ninja Senki is a platform game in which the player controls Hayato, a ninja looking for revenge, who will move heaven and earth to find it. Along the way, of course, he will have to face a number of challenges that will test his ninja skills. These skills include those which you would expect from any two-dimensional platform game: lots of jumps and attacks with shurikens, which will be your protagonist's main weapon. With these two tools (jumps and ninja stars) you will have to try to pass the different levels of the Senki world. Even though you will use the same weapon during the whole adventure, what will change are the enemies, which you will encounter a wide variety of. Flying ghosts, normal ninjas, ninjas who throw stars, winged demons, angry monkeys, samurais, and even dragons; all of these will be fighting against you. When talking about the visuals, Ninja Senki is a game that could have come from Super Nintendo, which just gives it an extra dose of charisma and which fans of all things retro will particularly like. Ninja Senki is a very fun, extremely difficult platform game. It doesn't quite reach the same level as other legendary games like 'I Wanna be the Guy' or 'Super Meat Boy,' but nevertheless it will test the reflexes and the patience of all those brave enough to accept the challenge.

Under the Garden is a survival game where you play a pixelated character whose sole aim is to survive the winter in the middle of the forest. The only help you'll have in doing so are your own skills and ingenuity. At the beginning of the game you'll have a a destroyed hut and an axe. As you get through more days alive, it'll be possible to get more and more things. At first you'll be able to rebuild your cabin ... later you'll get firewood to start a fire and warm yourself ... you'll also be able to hunt to eat, etc. In this way, as you get new tools (axe, pick axe, shotgun) the game gets transformed into a sort of 2D Minecraft centered on the game's survival aspect, where you'll constantly have to monitor your strength bar, since your hero will die if it runs out. One of Under the Garden's most captivating aspects, besides its wonderful gameplay, are the graphics, similar to Sword and Sworcery and other indie titles of this style. Under the Garden is a game that combines platforms, adventure, some action, and, above all, survival to provide players with a very entertaining experience that will put your ability and ingenuity to the test, if you want to survive.

You Have to Win the Game is a platform game with a marked retro aesthetic that'll take you right back to the eighties to enjoy a platform adventure like those of yesteryear, with matching graphics and everything. The game, which usually lasts no more than an hour if you're moderately adept with the platforms, will take you through loads of danger-filled scenes where you have to dodge enemies and traps in equal measure while trying to make it to the adventure's end. The point of the game, as its name indicates, is to win. And while you're not looking at one of the most difficult platformers to be found on the indie scene, it does involve a considerable challenge. One of the most appealing things about You Have to Win the Game is obviously its graphics, which emulate the old-school titles down to including an antique monitor frame. This detail will certainly bring on the nostalgia for more than one veteran gamer. You Have to Win the Game is a splendid platform game, and even without offering anything particularly novel it still offers an excellent experience for anyone looking for a good platformer to test their skills.

One hundred years after this event, one of the beings is unjustly banished to Earth. He doesn't hesitate in doing everything possible to get back to the floating structure that's home to the other members of his race, in order to teach the others that they made a mistake in casting him out. Starting with this backdrop, Celestial Mechanica mixes puzzles, platforms, and adventure with a development that's similar to the Metroid saga games. The main character is a small, friendly robot who has to move carefully around a 2D world full of traps. In this way, your hero will have to face various puzzles if he wants to get back to where he belongs. That said, the vast majority of the puzzles can only be solved once you've developed a specific skill, which you'll discover progressively. Celestial Mechanica is a joint effort of the talents of Roger Hicks (rComplex) and Paul Veer (Super Crate Box). With this collaboration, they've managed to create an engaging adventure with some clever puzzles and a unique personality.

Hydra Castle Labyrinth is a platform game with some old school action. It's also reminiscent of games of the 16 bit era. The game starts with your character already inside the castle, without any type of introduction or tutorial. Instead, you simply start playing, and decide which direction to go, left or right. In the beginning your character doesn't have any special item, only the sword. As you advance you find new items that help you on your mission. You'll really need them, since some levels in Hydra Castle Labyrinth are particularly hard. Besides normal enemies that you find throughout the game, which are killed with one hit, in Hydra Castle Labyrinth you also find a boss here and there. BatMan is a remake of the game that was released for ZX Spectrum many years ago. This time around, both the visuals and the playable elements have received a noticeable facelift. In the game, you'll have to go through several levels with an isometric view, trying to solve a series of puzzles which will lead you to find the seven missing parts of the BatCraft, that great crime-fighting machine. To find all the pieces, you'll have to help Batman pass all the levels in the Batcave, the mansion, and some other surprise location. All of them will, of course, be full of dangers and all sorts of different enemies who won't make it easy for you. In regards to its graphics, BatMan is still far from being a wonder, but the pixelated style is actually quite charming; in any case, it’s still way better than the graphics it boasted in its original release. BatMan was one of the most fun puzzle and platform games in the ZX Spectrum era, and in spite of the many years that have gone by, it’s still a great game, made even better with its latest facelift.

Sienna is a platform game with a single button. In it, you try to reach the end of each level by avoiding the obstacles that get in your way - and there will be plenty. The gameplay is very similar to that of an endless runner in that the cat never stops moving. It's your job to time the jumps so he doesn't die. Unlike an endless runner, though, each level in Sienna has an end, and if you do well, it won't be out of your reach. The only 'problem' is that although the game has nine levels that can theoretically be finished in a matter of minutes (if not seconds), the levels are very complicated, so it might take you a while to get through them. Typically this means jumping at exactly the right moment, because if you hit an obstacle, you'll return to the last checkpoint you reached. Sienna is a very challenging platform game. Although it can be extremely hard, you'll feel incredibly satisfied whenever you complete a level.

Mr. Rescue is a platform game where you control a fireman whose objective is to run into burning buildings in order to put out fires and rescue as many of the people trapped inside as possible. The game has simple controls: use the arrow keys to move from one side to the other, and three action buttons to jump, shoot water from your water gun, and pick people up to rescue them. The rescuing itself is pretty funny, since to do it successfully, you have to grab children and throw them out a window - we assume the idea is that there is a trampoline waiting for them below. As you climb the building, you'll run into more difficult challenges, including some enemies in the form of flames. At first, they'll just move from side to side, but soon you'll be facing flames that jump around, trying to make your life difficult. Mr. Rescue is a fun platform game with a charming style and simple gameplay that will get just about anyone hooked immediately. And, you'll have access to a scoreboard to keep track of your best efforts.

Momodora 2 is an adventure and platform game with a style that is very similar to the classic Cave Story, in which players control Momo, a little girl who heads inside of a mysterious, danger-filled temple. However, it won't take you long to discover that your young character is a priestess whose mission is to head into the depths of the temple to put an end to the Queen of the Underworld, who is waking up and threatens to be a problem for mankind. In order to defend yourself from the traps and enemies that inhabit the temple, you have different weapons at your disposal. On the one hand, you have a leaf from a tree that you can use as a weapon at short distances, and on the other hand you have a few sacred symbols that you can launch at your enemies. Just like in Cave Story, Metroid Prima or Castelvania for Gameboy Advance, the game does not develop linearly. You can explore the temple as the fancy strikes you and, in fact, you will have to advance and retreat a number of times in order to continue with the adventure. Momodora 2 is an excellent game that mixes exploration, platform and action elements and achieves fantastic results. The only drawback is that, even though you can save the game, the game is pretty short.

Momodora is an adventure and platform game where you have to venture inside a mysterious temple, controlling young Isadora. Her goal is to recover a legendary artifact capable of bringing her mother back to life. In order to get to the end of the temple and find the artifact (and, perhaps, another surprise or two) your character will have to pass tons of scenes that are full of all types of dangers: jumps, traps, enemies... luckily, she has a number of weapons that she can use during her adventure. The game will constantly remind you of the classic free game Cave Story, which is of the same genre. This is true not just in terms of the graphics (although they are so similar they could be siblings) but also in terms of the gameplay, because even though this game has less exploration and fewer adventures than Cave Story, the combat and the platforms are almost identical. Momodora is a very fun adventure and platform game, which you have to play if you want to understand the story of Momodoro 2, which offers a similar but much more extensive story.

Ivan Fuckoff is an action-platform game starring a quirky character who, upon realizing that the world is going to hell because of an alien attack, decides to go out into the streets and fight. Despite being a 2D platformer with a touch of action in the style of Commander Keen and Duke Nukem 1 and 2, Ivan Fuckoff also has certain roguelike elements. The levels, for example, are generated randomly each time you begin a game, so you'll never play two identical games. During your adventure, Ivan Fuckoff (also the name of the protagonist) can use some dozen different weapons and wear almost twenty hats, and you can also modify his features – all with the aim of defeating the final six bosses waiting for you in the special levels. The technical level of the game is also noteworthy due to its pixel art–style graphics and excellent chiptune soundtrack, composed by Oskar Handberg. Ivan Fuckoff is a great mixture of action, platformer and roguelike. In addition to having polished and fun gameplay, it offers a hilarious story and some extra non-playable characters that will give you a good laugh or two.
