Clastle is a fun platformer where you play a burglar who has to survive all the trials inside a castle converted into a huge deadly trap. The game's controls are very simple: you can move your character and jump with the cursor, but also interact with some elements of the scenario like blocks or doors. Additionally, at certain spots you can do double-jumps to get as far as possible. The full version features 10 levels that will put your skills to the test, having you compete against the clock and take on other difficult challenges. Clastle is a entertaining title that, despite being somewhat short, offers an interesting enough playability to make you want to play it again a couple times.

Wyv and Keep

Wyv and Keep is a platform puzzle game where you'll need to help two peculiar treasure hunters collect all of the gold from each complicated level. To do that, you'll need to either control both characters by alternating between the two (the default way to do this is with the shift key) or by playing together with a friend on the same computer, each controlling one character. Only with the collaboration of both characters will you be able to solve all of the puzzles found in each level of the game. The object of each level is quite simple: open the exit door and pick up as much treasure as you can along the way. Wyv and Keep is a really fun game with a charmingly retro aesthetic, capable of keeping us entertained for hours whether alone or with a friend.

These threats will appear as different kinds of enemies (small blue creatures, plants and killer birds) or traps. Luckily your character has a life bar that will allow you to survive even the most hazardous situations. The artistic graphics seen in this game were inspired by the first Nintendo video game desktop, and even at low load of pixels, they are quite beautiful. Arvoesine is entertaining and short, and its five levels will give you a way to pass the time. Given this, it must be said that it is quite difficult.

Boondog is a platform puzzle game where you control an intrepid young man who needs to get through dozens and dozens of levels by jumping, hanging, moving objects, activating switches, and, basically, avoiding danger. The game's controls are simple, but completing a short tutorial is helpful if you want to master them. Jumping from platform to platform is a little different than you'd expect if you've played similar games, and a bad fall here is typically mortal. The game has a really impressive number of levels, which means you can play for hours and hours without stop. The problem lies in rescuing your hero's five friends along the way, as they've been scattered around each level. Helping them while dodging dangerous obstacles is a true challenge. The game has two different playing modes: arcade, in which you have to beat fifty levels, and survival, where you have to survive as long as possible while rescuing your friends and avoiding enemy capture. Mechanic Infantry is a fun game that, although it may occasionally be too difficult, pays you back in satisfaction after completing each level. And graphically, it's an absolute delight.

Dustforce is an independent platform game where you have to drive to one of four sweepers in order to overcome a diabolical series of stages that will test your skill and patience. The game's level design quite reminiscent to that seen in Super Meat Boy, with spikes everywhere and deadly traps that could end the life of our street sweeper in an instant. Luckily, you had several aces up his sleeve. Our character can make the classic double jump, fast slipping on floors and walls and ceilings, and even hit with the broom. This last action is especially important because if you destroy an object while in the air, you can make an additional hop. Dustforce is a fun game that will appeal to anyone looking for challenges. Also, visually it is a true workhorse, with outstanding visuals.

Your small character can do various actions throughout the adventure, like jumping from one side to another (essential), climb ladders, avoid traps and, above all, use its whip (although there are more arms and objects) to defend itself against any type of enemy. The game is quite long and is made up of many open zones you will have to explore to find all the relics and objects, something that can take you more than twenty hours in total. La Mulana is a great retro game that, for major delight, is completely free. At just one click away you have more than twenty hours of fun for free!

At first blush, Trail seems like a simple platformer where you climb over walls and jump between surfaces, trying to get to the end and, inevitably, see your character die. But here's the twist: the level is generated randomly as you play it. Your previous memories drop off behind you as you go, and they can even harm you if you touch them. Then, once you die, you have to retrace your steps, gathering all the memories you've left behind. When you reach the starting point (or fail to do so), the game shows the age of your character and how fulfilling his life was (according to your score). Trail is a game with a perfectly smooth gameplay. If you give it time, it may even give you some inspiration for your own life.

Stealth Bastard is a platform game half way between Super Meat Boy and Trilby: The Art of Theft, in which we will have to overcome a series of levels using stealth and ability. The game is made up of twenty-eight levels full of traps and dangers in which we will have to crouch, jump, hold on to ledges, dodge laser traps and avoid being seen by cameras and active switches. All this in the least possible time knowing that our times will compete with those of other users around the world. The graphic section is, like in the above mentioned games, very simple. But the lighting effects are very well done and help to create an ideal atmosphere to play. Stealth Bastard is a very entertaining platform game, which will be very much liked by lovers of challenge. The online `leader-boards’ give it a great competition touch.

Epacse is a platformer where you have to use your power of manipulating particles to escape the place you start the game being trapped inside. The game controls are pretty simple. Use the keyboard to move your character left or right, and jump with the arrow keys. With the mouse you can push and move any pile of particles you see lying around. Using your ability to move small elements from one side to another, you have to solve almost all the puzzles you find throughout your short adventure, which lasts between 20 and 30 minutes. This short duration explains why the game doesn't have a save feature. This might turn off some players but it doesn't really make any difference as long as you have a good amount of time to play. Epacse is a fun and original platformer with some rather simple retro graphics but a gameplay that's worth trying out.

The Fourth Wall is a puzzle and platform game where you play a wizard throughout the course of his life. In the first few levels, you begin as a child without any powers. As you go through levels and begin to grow, you develop new skills and abilities. The game has 16 different levels where your goal is simply to find the way out. Naturally, this isn't an easy task, since your greatest enemy is your surroundings. You have to think creatively in order get from one point to another, using the abilities you have available at the time. In the beginning, you just have to exit through one side of the screen and fall in a different place. However, as you advance in the game, you have to use parts of your surroundings, deal with enemies, find keys, etc. The Fourth Wall is a really interesting experience that every puzzle game fan should try. Plus, it's completely free, and takes a decent amount of time to beat.

Friends 'Til the End is a platformer born of the following idea: 'You play a boy whose remote control helicopter is alive and your friend, then you discover a nuclear missile inside it.' This absurd premise hides a game where you are constantly controlling a boy and his helicopter simultaneously. On the one hand, you'll have to walk and jump over holes in the ground with the boy while on the other you fly the helicopter, dodging all the buildings. This gameplay demands very skilled and consistent coordination from you, since if the boy gets too far away from his helicopter the intensity of the remote control signal will become weaker and it'll start to fall ... causing a nuclear explosion that will destroy the entire city and, obviously, kill the boy. Friends 'Til the End is a very entertaining and curious indie game that, even if it doesn't last long (it's very short), does let you experience something different.

Taking advantage of the situation, tons of creatures have invaded the town. As you advance, you'll get closer to figuring out what's at the bottom of all this trouble. The game's controls are very traditional: there is a jump button and an attack button. The jump button will help you get from platform to platform, but you can also use it to slide along the ground to hit enemies. Using the attack button will launch arrows from the bow that your character carries. The game has retro graphics that will remind you of Super Nintendo and Megadrive games. The overall aesthetic is a little childish, but it meshes well with the storyline. Jade Phoenix is an entertaining, free platform game. It may be a little short, but it offers a good helping of fun.

Find Me a Good One is a very odd game featuring some of the strangest graphics you can find and a soundtrack that might as well be a lullaby. It's also really fun.

Fly'N is a really fun platform puzzle game, offering not only good gameplay but also charming graphics that are sure to impress. It's a festival of colors that will fill your screen with beauty.

It is a 2D platformer in which your goal is to guide your nice little protagonist through a series of labyrinths, rescuing all of the creatures that need your help. The mechanics are very simple. Your protagonist will start at the upper part of the scene and you have to descend down into different levels using the platforms that are set up to allow you to do so as you rescue all of the creatures and avoid the different enemies. It's not as easy as it sounds. You have to keep a lot of factors in mind. First of all, when you leave one of the levels on one side, you will appear at the extreme opposite side on the next level, and by doing so you can go up a level or down a level. In addition, when you collect some creatures, they will drop bombs that can kill you if you're not careful. Endless Forms Most Beautiful is a very entertaining platformer that has enchanting graphics, a very good soundtrack, and simple but completely addictive mechanics. In addition, you can play on your own or with other players.

Other spells, like stopping time, have more complicated sequences. Using your spells, it's possible to do everything from jump to attack enemies, as well as overcome the many obstacles in your path. There are spike traps, crushing ceilings, goblins, and tons of other dangers that are out to get your colorful hero. Order of Twilight is a fun platform game which, thanks to its unique spell system, has something more to offer than your standard jumping/attacking platform game. It's truly enjoyable.

Knytt is an independent 2D platformer where you play Knytt, a young girl who, one terrible day, is abducted by a space ship. She has such bad luck that while sailing through outer space, the ship has an accident and crashes on another planet. Your objective, once on this mysterious planet's surface, is to find your way back home. To accomplish this task, you can only rely on your impressive jumping and climbing skills, which let you pull off some moves rarely seen in this genre. This means that in Knytt, if you fall short on a jump, you normally won't die, since you'll be able to grab onto the wall and climb back up. That said, just because you can grab onto the wall, it doesn't mean Knytt is a piece of cake. The game's huge open world and elements of adventure and exploration make returning home more difficult than a few simple jumps. In fact, you're abilities will be put to the test. Knytt is a really entertaining platformer that, despite its outdated and simple graphics, offers a playing experience that's full of exciting moments (thanks especially to the story scenes) that graphic adventure fans will particularly enjoy.

Saira is a 2D platformer created by the author of Knytt, which has a very similar concept and gameplay. On this occasion the main character, after traveling to Mars, discovers that everyone in the galaxy has disappeared. Her objective: to find out why. Just like in Knytt, Saira has tremendous agility that allows her to jump and climb around the entire setting. The difference is that, on this occasion, the movements are much more fluid and diverse, which makes for more spectacular, fun phases where players can give it everything they've got in terms of manual skills. Throughout the adventure, Saira will have to visit different planets and will gain many new abilities that let her do all kinds of different physical feats, like flying short distances or disappearing for a few seconds before reappearing in a different place. Saira is a very fun platformer that not only improves on the previous projects of Nifflas, its developer, in terms of gameplay but also offers graphics that are much more refined and a more entertaining story.

Another Castle is a 2D platform game where you control an intrepid young man who, without any clear purpose, goes inside a dungeon to steal all the treasure he can find and kill enemies along the way. The game is a perfect mix of the platform and roguelike genres. It randomly generates dungeons that you'll have to beat using lots of artifacts and different weapons that you find. These weapons - which range from a yo-yo to a freezing gun that turns enemies into icecubes - mean there are a lot of possibilities when it comes to solving different challenges in the game, of which there are many. There are more than a dozen types of enemies, moving platforms, traps, etc. The obstacles are varied and will definitely test your skills. Another Castle is a mix between platform and role-playing genres. Despite the fact that it's still being developed, you can easily play it forever, especially considering that you'll never play the same dungeon twice.

Isopark

Isopark is a unique bird's-eye-view platform game that plays with perspective to give you a radically different gaming experience compared to more traditional 2D platformers. The goal is to collect the stars scattered throughout an expansive level full of jumps, platforms, and pipes from which you'll have to climb, jump, and hang. Once you find all the stars, you get the key needed to open the door and finish the game. In theory, you could play through Isopark in about ten minutes – but that's just wishful thinking, as in practice, you'll need a lot of skill to get the stars. Luckily, the game saves every time you get a star, so you can resume it whenever you want. Isopark is a different but very fun platformer that also has a striking aesthetic. Especially appealing for gamers who already have a few years of this genre under their belts.

The Button Affair is a stylish endless runner where you play Enzo, a secret spy who has to escape the crime scene after committing a huge robbery. The game has three different chapters (with different settings), and a prologue. In each you're witness to different parts of the game's story, which is quite a lot more entertaining and elaborate than in most other games in this genre. As you escape, you have to avoid all types of obstacles; if you fail, you'll see a series of deadly sequences. Lasers, falls, shots to the chest, prisons, armored doors ... there are lots of obstacles to overcome. One thing that stands out in The Button Affair are the graphics. It has a minimalist aesthetic with a lot of style and super fluid animations. The game is proper delight to the eye, and the soundtrack is brilliant, too. The Button Affair is a really fun platformer combining an excellent gameplay that demands a lot of skill with excellent graphics and a super entertaining storyline.

The Great Work is an adventure platformer developed by Nifflas, the indie developer famous for creating the similar Knytt Saga. To begin, The Great Work's gameplay is almost identical to that of the Knytt saga, but adding multiple underwater levels that bring to mind another classic game, Aquaria. Basically, you spend most of your time jumping and running around different 2D settings while trying to dodge the enemies' attacks and solve some puzzles. The game is also very similar to Knytt in terms of graphics, with a simple and spooky design that favors contrast and lack of color. The animations are very fluid and the details in some of the scenarios are gorgeous. The Great Work is a very entertaining adventure platformer where players can discover a fascinating world and a story that, despite not being very long, will keep you entertained for a bit more than an hour.

That said, getting this object will mean traversing a ton of streets full of dangers like vagabonds who throw bottles and other trash, electric eels that jump out of different puddles around the city, and bats. Luckily, despite things being very complicated on the way there because your character won't have anything to defend himself, the way back will be much easier. The game gets easier because your character will be transformed into a dangerous guard dog. And of course, once you become a dog you'll be able to bite your enemies and return the attacks you received a few minutes earlier. In fact, you'll be able to kill dozens of vagabonds once you become a dog. Full Moon Rising is a platformer with a retro aesthetic that, despite being short, is a very fun game. Also, its difficulty is very well-adjusted to offer a good challenge that won't end up frustrating you.
