Match Magic is a role-playing and puzzle game similar to Puzzle Quest. It does a good job combining elements from both genres to create an enjoyable experience: role-play development through puzzle-based combat. Basically, you have to combine three or more game pieces of the same type to create an effect. So, if you combine three swords you can deal direct damage, or join others together to gain mana that you can use with cards. Mana is related to the second most important element of gameplay in Match and Magic: the cards. These cards with spells allow you to cast magic during your battles, in addition to four other types of actions that are fundamental if you want to win the game's most important battles. In addition to traditional combat and the use of card-based magic, you can use all kinds of other objects during the story and the combats themselves. Match and Magic is a fun puzzle and role-playing game with in-depth gameplay, an entertaining storyline, and well-done graphics.

Actual Sunlight is a pretty unique adventure game in which you play as Evan Winter, a young worker in Toronto, who goes through some big life changes. The game takes you through a journey that, hopefully, will make you feel exactly what the developers intended. Throughout the game, which is pretty linear, you can meet other characters that share their lives with you. Some will leave an impression on you but others won't. In the end, all of them come together to make a transcendental discovery for Evan. The gameplay is mininmalistic as you'll be limited to moving Evan around each phase in his life. The real core of the game isn't controlling him, rather trying to figure out who he really is. Grafically, Actual Sunlight isn't too incredible. Its visuals come directly from Game Maker and RPG Maker and leave the game as a bit of an eyesore. However, the game still has a lot going for it despite the low graphics. Actual sunlight is a distinctive game that is desirably potrayed even for the most seasoned gamers who expect something more than waves of zombies, pissed off soviets, and machine guns.

Pilchard is a 2D platformer that uses the basic principle from Canabalt (running and jumping nonstop) and combines it with a constant shakiness in the camera, as if you were drunk. The settings in Pilchard are generated randomly every time you start the game, just like in Canabalt. And you normally have to restart many times, since its extreme difficulty takes the average playtime to around 10 seconds. The gameplay in Pilchard, on the other hand, is pretty simple: your character runs forward and you just have to jump each time you come to an obstacle. Some of them are elevated blocks, other times you could just fall into the void. Whatever the obstacle, though, it almost always kills your character. Pilchard is a simple platformer in every way. Its gameplay is simple, the graphics are simple, the soundtrack is simple ... and that's precisely why it's so charming.

The goal is to find out why you're there in the first place. Find Me a Good One is a very odd game featuring some of the strangest graphics you can find and a soundtrack that might as well be a lullaby. It's also really fun.

Silver Night's Crusaders is a spectacular fangame inspired by the Castlevania saga, in which you can choose between three completely original characters. The story and the development of the game, moreover, are adapted so that you can play both solo and in coop mode, with a friend playing on the same computer (both using the same keyboard or with gamepads). Unlike in the more traditional Castlevania, in Silver Night's Crusaders you will find a good handful of action buttons at your disposal. In addition to the classic jump and attack buttons, you will have three additional buttons: dodge, spell and extra. Depending on the character you are controlling, each of these buttons will allow you to perform a different type of skill or spell. From the main menu of the game, you can also take a look at some combos and special attacks that you can perform with each hero, as they have different skillsets. The story mode of Silver Night's Crusaders is quite extensive and will allow you to go through a multitude of levels full of enemies. Some of these levels and enemies will be very familiar to fans of the Castlevania franchise, while others are completely new, with pixel-art created for the occasion. The same goes for some of the NPCs you will meet throughout the adventure. Throughout the story you will be able to interact with more than half a dozen original characters and all of them have a professional quality dubbing. Although the story mode is the main attraction, it is not the only game mode that you will find in Silver Night's Crusaders. Once you finish the main adventure, you will be able to unlock two additional modes: Free Play and Bloody Arena. In Bloody Arena mode, for example, you will be able to face all the final bosses of the game, one after the other, with the objective of finishing them in the shortest time possible. In short, it is a manual 'boss rush mode', perfectly integrated into the game. Silver Night's Crusaders is an excellent fangame of the Castlevania saga developed in OpenBOR, which offers a fabulous game experience, both for one and two players. An outstanding title that has nicely polished graphics, good dubbing, additional game modes, compatibility with Xbox and Playstation controllers, and that, in general, offers a similar experience to some of the official titles of the franchise.

Imperia is a turn-based strategy game that, despite its place in the 4X subgenre (alongside Civilization, Master of Magic, Age of Wonders), makes sure to add an additional X, and in doing so, becomes the first-ever 5X. The '4X' refers to 'eXploring, eXpanding, eXploiting, and eXterminating,' to which Imperia adds 'eXisting.' Why? Well, in Imperia players assume the role of a young intergalactic emperor who not only carries the full weight of humanity on his shoulders but also must deal with some personal issues of his own. Usually in this genre it's the player who controls a omniscient being who can do virtually anything. In Imperia, however, your main character has a limited number of administration points that he'll need to use wisely. Misdirecting your empire will not just destroy it, but might also mean that your character gets assassinated. Political machinations aside, Imperia players will have to manage entire planets. Their inhabitants' wellbeing, technology, agriculture, and culture... all of this depends on the decisions you make. Imperia is a turn-based strategy game with huge potential, and despite having somewhat crude graphics, it has an original concept that really brings something new to the table.

The game is turn-based. In each turn you'll be able to perform 7 moves, but as long as you play, the warrior gets tired and you can do less moves. Each time you descend a level, the dungeon is bigger and the enemies will be more powerful.

Wreck is a platform game with a fun theme and great gameplay. Using your cannon both as a weapon and a way to move around the levels is perfect. Plus, the graphics are pretty decent, making it easy to recognize your heroine, Miley.

You'll see what makes this game different in that moment when you open up your inventory and find, like in Terraria or Minecraft, that you have the ability to create tons and tons of objects. For example, if you want to make a sword you'll need a sheet of bronze... and to make a sheet of bronze you'll need three pieces of bronze... and to find those, you'll have to break up rocks. In addition to all that, you'll have a robot that will accompany your protagonist from the very beginning, and who you can use to take care of many different tasks. It could be anything from your bodyguard to your worker. Epic Inventor is a really fun game, similar to Terraria in many aspects, but it's worth noting that this one is completely free.

Extinction 3D is a third-person action game with overhead perspective. It has a similar aesthetic to the first Grand Theft Auto games, except that here you're pitted against hundreds of zombies in a lawless city. You can jump into tons of different vehicles and use them to get from one side of the city to the other, running over zombies in the process. In fact, this is the easiest way to kill your enemies. Different types of weapons are also scattered throughout the city, including pistols, machine guns, and grenades, all of which you can use to eliminate zombies on foot. Of course, you'll need to be very careful, because there are many, many zombies out there waiting to get a piece of you. Your adventure also requires you to try to rescue the few survivors that are left in the city. Just approach them, and they will be saved. Extinction 3D is a fun action game that has the pull of old GTA games mixed with that trend that refuses to die: zombies.

Though you still have to kill enemies, this game is focused more on platforms. As in Super Mario Bros, you have to jump from platform to platform, taking care not to fall and die. There are other dangers, too, like enemies you can kill with different weapons. At first you only have a knife you can throw, but later you can use a kind of carnivorous plant to kill any type of enemy. Dracula 13 is a fun platform with touches of action. It takes the best aspects of two excellent 16-bit era games and combines them to create a fun game with lots of character ... and blood.

Go back in time and enjoy jumping and killing enemies in 2D. Your weapons are the chains and the knives, and following the original game, you'll be able to use new weapons as long as you go further in the game. Those weapons are pixelated, of course, but you'll like it. Bit of War is an amusing platform and action game that offers an story of around 3 hours. Controlling this tiny 8-bit Kratos in a 2D environment is honestly a real pleasure.

Crazy Over Goo is a very fun platformer where you have to get a sticky bouncy ball to move from one part of the screen to another. To do this the only thing you can use is the mouse, bouncing the ball and calculating the force and direction of the bounce. Of course this doesn't mean it's all bouncing with no rhyme nor reason... Along the way you’ll find a wide variety of different obstacles blocking your path. For example, you’ll have to deal with different gravities that make your ball fly out of control from one side to the other, or come across different surfaces where your ball sticks to the orange ones while bouncing off the blue ones. Other more obvious hazards include spike bombs that kill you if you touch them. Dodge these on almost every level using either the surfaces you stick to or the ones you bounce off of. Crazy Over Goo is a very fun platformer that offers 50 levels full of frenetic action. If you have half an hour to spare (or a little longer) check this game out. You won’t regret it!

SP-Hubris is, in the words of its developer, 'an experiment in beauty and color' turned into a video game. As such, it may be a bit boring as you never do anything other than walk. Luckily, you'll soon find that the 'appeal' of the game lies precisely in exploring and discovering the setting. The environment through which you move in the first person is the game's real protagonist, which will show you a series of impossible structures of astounding architectural beauty. The walking isn't exactly fun, but seeing everything the game has to offer does turn out to be amazing. One of the developer's inspirations was Shadow of the Colossus, hence, according to him, the game's overwhelming scale. In practice, though, the game is rather more reminiscent of ICO, which is certainly very good. SP-Hubris is a peculiar experiment that you'll enjoy if you like trying new things. You won't find impossible jumps, shooting, or top-speed races, but you'll enjoy exploration and beauty.

Also, Kyodai Mahjongg 2006 has several differently themed solitaires to choose from in case you get stuck on one of them. The game has an attractive and simple interface that allows you to move freely from one game to the next, and between the various configuration settings, such as difficulty level, audio, or image settings.

The game starts with your character already inside the castle, without any type of introduction or tutorial. Instead, you simply start playing, and decide which direction to go, left or right. In the beginning your character doesn't have any special item, only the sword. As you advance you find new items that help you on your mission. You'll really need them, since some levels in Hydra Castle Labyrinth are particularly hard. Besides normal enemies that you find throughout the game, which are killed with one hit, in Hydra Castle Labyrinth you also find a boss here and there. Following the old school tradition, they represent a real challenge sometimes. Hydra Castle Labyrinth is a pretty fun platform game. What it lacks in storyline it has in nice characters, and it features a gameplay that despite the years, still works very well.

Driving Speed Pro has a moderately realistic control system, which is hard to master. You'll especially notice it when you try to take a sharp curve at a high speed - most likely, your car will end up lodged in a roadside advertisement. Driving Speed Pro is a racing game with a fast engine and outstanding graphics, that offers up enough cars and tracks to keep you occupied for hours.

These weapons - which range from a yo-yo to a freezing gun that turns enemies into icecubes - mean there are a lot of possibilities when it comes to solving different challenges in the game, of which there are many. There are more than a dozen types of enemies, moving platforms, traps, etc. The obstacles are varied and will definitely test your skills. Another Castle is a mix between platform and role-playing genres. Despite the fact that it's still being developed, you can easily play it forever, especially considering that you'll never play the same dungeon twice.
