Nowadays it seems obligatory to have a Facebook account to access addictive minigames, or a smartphone to download fun apps. Shifter, though, is a simple, basic PC game that doesn't require anything. You just install it and start combining blocks before time runs out. The main idea in Shifter is to collect three or more colored squares so that they explode vertically or horizontally. This way, more colored blocks will appear so you get more points for making them explode and can then level up. This puzzle will add special blocks as you advance through the screens, like a block that changes color and can be used wherever it's most useful. If the time runs out before you can merge several blocks of the same color, you lose. Shifter saves your high score on a board, so you can try to beat your own scores or those of the computer's other users.

All these new features, however, have been incorporated in an attempt to preserve the game's original essence. Installing KeeperFX is simple, it can be done by following just two steps. The first and perhaps the most important step is to have the original Dungeon Keeper installed on the PC, as many of these files are required. You can either use the original CD-ROM if you still have it at home, or the digital version that you can download from Origin or GOG. After installing Dungeon Keeper, you will be able to run the KeeperFX Launcher, in which you simply have to indicate the installation directory of the game. After a few seconds, a message will pop up to tell you that the process has been successful and you can start playing. Before doing so, however, you should ideally choose your preferred screen resolution. One of the key aspects of KeeperFX is that it allows you to enjoy the original game, with little variation, on a modern PC. In other words, you can play the classic Campaign Mode, with all its levels, while enjoying a higher screen resolution, and some subtle improvements in the controls. In every other respect, the game will be just how you remember it. This option allows purists to revel once more in one of the best single-player campaigns in the history of strategy video games, culminating in the legendary Skybird Trill level. Replaying the original Dungeon Keeper campaign is a lot of fun, but KeeperFX offers much, much more. You will find more than half a dozen additional campaigns, each with more than a dozen levels created by the community of fans following this game. And that's not all. As you play these new levels you will even be able to recruit new creatures, such as the Druid or Time Mage, which have their own special abilities. It is worth noting that these new creatures are only available in the new levels, not in the original ones. The original Dungeon Keeper had a multiplayer mode, but as some players may have found, the stability of online play was never its strong point. Thanks to KeeperFX that is now a thing of the past. The remake greatly improves the stability of online games, offering the possibility of playing through TCP/IP as well as through ENET/UDP. As a result, up to four players can face off in the dark dungeons of Dungeon Keeper in exciting multiplayer encounters. Download KeeperFX if you like video games and want to experience one of Peter Molyneux's latest masterpieces first-hand. Thanks to this remake you can play an iconic 1997 title, with all the comforts and advantages of a modern PC, regardless of the version of Windows you are using or your screen resolution. The gameplay in Freeciv is very similar to that of the aforementioned Civilization 2, although with some additions and tweaks inspired by the third installment, as well. New games start in 4000 BC by default, with just one settler and one explorer; it's up to you to guide your civilization through the years, centuries, and millennia on your quest to become a dominant world power that's capable of winning the game. But how do you win the game? That's easy: you can either annihilate the rest of the civilizations or build a spaceship to reach Alpha Centauri. The learning curve for the vast majority of 4X (the strategy subgenre to which Freeciv belongs) is usually quite high. For this reason, the game not only has a good tutorial, in which you can learn the basics of the game, but it also has a Wiki with several official manuals depending on the rules you're playing with. That said, anyone who has ever played a Civilization game can see that the game is indeed very similar, and the general mechanics are almost identical to any game in Sid Meier's franchise. One of the most notable aspects of Freeciv is the large number of customization options available when creating a new game. On one hand, there are the scenarios, which are games created by the community in which you play on certain maps (Japan, United States, Europe, Earth) with a specific number of opponents. On the other hand, there are also the standard games, in which you play on a procedurally generated map against however many opponents you want. The best part? No matter what, you can play both against the AI and against your friends over the Internet. Freeciv is an excellent turn-based strategy game and a true love letter to video games. The first version of this project was released completely free of charge in 1997, with many improvements made to it since then, including bringing it to more than a dozen operating systems in more than 30 languages. It's a real gift for video game fans and, more specifically, anyone who appreciates a good strategy game.

Each turn you have ten Action Points for each character that can be used to move, interact with the armory, open chests and bags you'll find in the field or kill enemies. Choose your way, choose the weapon you'll use because there are more than 40 different weapons, each one with a different power and AP consumption. shotguns, UZI, grenades, cannons... Don't forget to cover yourself with an armory or heal by using the healing kits, sometimes it can really important and decisive to win the battle. Don't hesitate,plan your strategy, find the proper weaponry, find the enemies and, of course, annihilate them.
