Guild Wars 2 is an MMORPG that's completely different from the rest of the games in the genre. It's unique because the story unravels differently based on the decisions of the players, which is relatively common in single player games, but not in multiplayers. Plus, instead of the traditional quests, there's a dynamic system of events, which is a lot more fun. Unlike the development of the story and missions, the creation of characters in Guild Wars 2 is much more traditional. You can choose between five different races: humans, asuras, charr, norns, and sylvaris. Once you pick the race, you can choose from eight different classes, including traditional ones like thief and warrior, and other less common ones like necromancer and hypnotist. Once in the game, you can see how the combat system is a lot more dynamic than in other MMORPGs. As usual, there are plenty of skills and abilities you can use. That said, the best thing about the combats is how important the synergies between classes are. This way, the game encourages cooperation between different players. Guild Wars 2 is an excellent MMORPG. Now, three years after its release, it's finally available to play for free. Consider this your golden opportunity to enter the magical world of Tyria.

AliensRL is a roguelike based on the universe of Alien, in which you have to play the role of a space marine and travel to a colony from where no communication has been received. Naturally, when you get there everything goes wrong, the ship explodes, your friend dies, and suddenly you find yourself trapped in an alien-infested colony. In the beginning of the game you have to choose your character's class and his skills, which you can improve as you play. These skills consist of handling main and secondary weapons, first aid, etc. In short, everything a marine would need. The controls are simpler than in the majority of the games of the genre, you can start killing aliens as soon as you start the game, without having to go through any kind of tutorial. That said, surviving and escaping the colony is not as easy as killing a couple of aliens. AliensRL is a fun role playing game, in which playing a space marine becomes truly terrifying. Just a couple of minutes from starting you feel the life of your character is in danger, and that's how it should be.

6x64 is a puzzle game that combines elements of three outstanding puzzle games (Tetris, Arkanoid, and Bejeweled) to create a unique experience. Your objective is to make all of the colored blocks disappear so that you can earn as many points as possible. You have a limited amount of time to line up the colored blocks as they fall from the upper part of the screen. But the problem is, as you destroy blocks and gain points, the direction from which the blocks fall will change. So although the game may start with the blocks falling from the upper part of the screen, it'll only be a few seconds before the direction changes and you have to place them as they arrive from the left or right side of the screen. Direction changes aren't the only factors that affect gameplay in 6x64. If you manage to connect more than three blocks together, you'll get a multiplier. 6x64 is a complex but fun puzzle game. The best part about it is that it has a good amount of achievements, and an online classification board so you can compare your high scores with other players from all over the world.

As game author Locomalito notes in the game's official page: to truly enjoy Verminian Trap, you'll need chips, drinks, and friends. And that's exactly the game's philosophy. Verminian Trap is an arcade game with traditional gameplay that could have been pulled from any arcade in the 80s. As you can imagine, it retains all of the charm and addictive power of the titles to which it pays homage.

When you play Arena of Heroes you'll have a minimum of four playable characters each week (two fixed and two rotating). And you can also buy access to additional characters, with 12 different ones available in all. As you play and win battles, you'll also win money, gems, and fame, all of which you can use to improve your characters' abilities, making them more powerful so that they can participate in more intense battles. Arena of Heroes is a fun genre hybrid that will satisfy fans of MOBA who want to try something new, as well as hardcore turn-based strategy players who are looking for a different angle.

In the beginning, it's just brush and trees, but as you continue upwards, you'll arrive to the sky and even see the famous Pillars of Creation. The Plan is an introspective, interactive experience that will inspire some questions in its players, and perhaps some answers as well. Dark, beautiful graphics and a solid soundtrack combine to captivate the player.

This time around players, possessed by a similar mask as the one on Splatterhouse, will have to pass through different levels facing all kinds of enemies which range from common desert vermin, to dragons. In order to win more of these ‘unlockables’, you'll have to advance through story and finish the game.
