Teleglitch is a roguelike quite different from those you're probably used to in this genre in that gameplay does not happen in turns nor are the graphics created from text. That said, its hellish level of difficulty and the randomness of its scenes will prove its primary identifying features. The game is set in an abandoned military base whose only inhabitants are the main character, armed with a simple pistol and very few bullets, as well as loads of bloodthirsty creatures that won't think twice about flinging themselves at you to kill you. Your aim is to escape from the complex, composed of 10 random levels that will get increasingly difficult. Luckily in Teleglitch you'll have an arsenal of more than 40 weapons or objects to help you get out alive. The best thing about these objects, in fact, is that you can combine to create new weapons. That is, you can create your own defenses with the junk you find on the scene. Teleglitch is a frenetic game combining roleplay with horror and intense action. That said, the game is very hard and might not appeal to all audiences.

Avalanche is a 3D action game set in the Final Fantasy VII universe where users play Tifa during her time as an activist in the terrorist group Avalanche. During most of the adventure, which takes you through locations that'll be familiar to fans of this saga, like the Mako Reactor or Cosmo Canyon, you have to fight dozens of enemies (all of them also old acquaintances). The Iron Giants and different beasts from the Final Fantasy universe have been added to the classic Shinra soldiers. In addition to the combat system, which enables you to do anything from simple punches to complex combos, in Avalanche you can also manage your character's other features. From a menu that's very similar to the one in the original game, you can view Tifa's inventory and attributes. You can also use certain objects (like potions) or change your weapon. One of the most surprising elements in Avalanche are the graphics, which are very similar to the models used in the original Final Fantasy VII's combats. These character models are considerably more detailed than the normal ones and look absolutely amazing in the game. Avalanche is a very fun action game that will surprise and please fans. It's still considered by many to be the best JRPG in history.

In Plain Sight is an action and stealth game where you play a character whose son has been kidnapped from the hospital where he was checked in. A mysterious phone calls gives you the first clue in your search for him. From that point on, your mission is to infiltrate an enemy base, which is protected by lots of soldiers, security cameras, mechanized devices ... and scientists. Your most important move consists of knocking down enemies (from behind), and then disguising with their outfits. Like this you can remain unseen in most situations, although you still have to be careful with some of the electronic devices. The most important thing, on the other hand, is to avoid the enemy's field of vision while you hack computers, which is another important part of the game. In Plain Sight is an entertaining stealth game with great graphics. The biggest letdown is that it's too short: just 20 minutes.

Monster Prince and the Eternal Kingdom is a two-dimensional platform adventure game that follows along the lines of the Metroidvania games from the era of 8 and 16 bits. In it, you will explore a fantasy world full of danger. Levels in Monster Prince and the Eternal Kingdom are randomly generated, but they will normally have certain elements in common. In the first few levels, for example, you'll run into various types of determined enemies, like snails and bats, while later on you'll have to face off against much stronger opponents. As you advance through the game, you'll be able to collect different items and gain levels to improve your abilities. You can equip different weapons and armor, use torches and potions, raise your hero's maximum health, and many other elements typical to games of this genre. Monster Prince and the Eternal Kingdom is a great Metroidvania. It's very promising despite the fact that it is still in its development stages. It has good graphic design, and entertaining gameplay that is sure to remind you of the best Castlevania and Metroid games made for Super Nintendo.

Duke Nukem Forever 2013 is a 'mod' of Duke Nukem 3D (you'll need to have it installed) that'll let you play a very different version of the 'Forever' that went on sale and, as many may remember, was shot down by critics. In this Duke Nukem 3D original conversion you'll be able to enjoy a different story that, apart from having tons of new locations and situations, also comes with several new enemies and non-playable characters that will form part of a plot in which Duke will, of course, have to save the earth yet again. Among the new features included in this mod is the option of seeing non-interactive scenes in which, apart from being told the story, you’ll live movie-like experiences in pure Call of Duty style. The similarities with the Activision game however end here, as Forever 2013 offers live action, without cover or life regeneration. Duke Nukem Forever 2013 is a cool mod that will drive unconditional Duke Fans insane with excitement. They'll find tons of parallels to previous Duke Nukem Forever versions that have been released over the years.

Although the game itself is pretty entertaining, the best thing about it is that you can play with up to three friends on the same computer. The only thing you'll need, of course, is a couple of controllers. Both its graphics and its soundtrack are quite nice. There are no spectacular models nor a choir that gives you goosebumps, but they get the job done and make the gaming experience more entertaining and enjoyable for the senses. Wroom delivers a good amount of fun for any player looking for a nice time with a simple but addictive gameplay.

Antibody is a shoot 'em up arcade game where players control a little antibody stuck inside a platelet, which is constantly being attacked by viruses and bacteria whose only aim is to put an end to its life. The game uses a very simple control system that fits it like a glove. Gameplay is controlled solely with the mouse: the left-click button lets you shoot in any indicated direction, and the right-click button lets you move from place to place. That said, players will have to think about their moves carefully since any contact with the enemy will result in death. Keeping in mind that players are locked inside the same setting the whole time and enemies are showing up continuously, your goal in the game is simply to amass points by lasting as long as you can without dying. Later, these points will be compared in the online rankings. Antibody is a very fun shoot 'em up that, despite not offering much variety, delivers a direct experience where your aim and skills will be what keeps you alive.

All you have to do is drag the ROM of the game you want to play to the executable (which is, by default, called mednafen.exe). That's it! The only exception to this is for PSX games, in which case you'll need to save the BIOS to the firmware folder first. Once you've started a game, press 'Alt+Shift+1' to set up the controls, which you can customize to your heart's content. To use an Xbox or Playstation controller, however, the process is a little more complicated. Luckily, on Mednafen's official website, you can find all the information and tutorials you need to set things up properly. Mednafen is an excellent emulator. Its main strength is that with just 6 MB, it lets you emulate more than a dozen different systems, which means you can play thousands of games. In addition, there are several different front ends, so you can use whichever interface suits your needs.

You just have to go to an object creation bank and start rifling through the objects in your inventory in order to create new weapons. Though most of the rooms are very similar, the complex design is random, so you'll never play the same game twice. In addition, each time you kill enemies you'll gain experience to improve your character. Dead Squared is a first person action game with role-playing aspects, and it has amazing graphics. The best thing about it is that this free game includes enough content to let you play for hours.

Even though the graphics have been given a huge makeover and are much nicer in this version, the gameplay has remained intact, offering you all the fun of the original. The game has more than 300 different levels where you'll have to combine one character's skills with the other's to make it to the end. Head, for example, can jump farther than Heels, but only Heels can drag objects around the levels. By combining their different skills you can overcome any difficulty. Head Over Heels is an excellent puzzle adventure and a fixture in the genre. Despite the passing of all these years, it's still as good as the day it was first released.

Open Hexagon is an addictive game, very addictive. Without needing to have a breaking graphic section or very complex mechanics (on the contrary), it manages to keep the player hooked for hours and hours. In short, Open Hexagon is the essence of the pure videogame.

Defiance is a third person online action game set in a futuristic world in which Planet Earth has been reduced to a wasteland where the few surviving members of the human race are battling a race of aliens who are trying to find a new home, destroying our home along the way. Though there are hundreds of different ways that you can personalize your character, the class system in Defiance is a bit peculiar. Instead of choosing a class, as is the case in most MMOs, you can develop your character's concept little by little as you select new abilities. In Defiance you progress as you manage to defeat enemies and, above all, as you complete different 'quests' alongside other players. You can play Defiance on your own and have fun, but the best thing about it is precisely the things that it allows you to do when you are playing along with other players. As the Defiance world is absolutely huge, you can travel through it on foot or using one of the many vehicles that you can find there. Not only can you move around using these vehicles, but you can also fight using them, if need be. Defiance is a remarkable third person action MMO. It was a paid game for a year, but it is now available for free. It's a true gift for anyone who is looking for a new adventure filled to the brim with shooting, explosions, aliens and action.

Radical Relocation is a game packed with puzzles in which your mission is to move to a new area with all your belongings. Along the way, you'll have to carefully drive your vehicle -without getting distracted- to reach the destination before time runs out. Radical Relocation has fun graphics that show the maps, all the items in them, and the vehicles you'll drive in 3D. As you play, right-click to move the camera and watch all the action unfold from the ideal angle. To move the car, just use the arrow or WASD keys. These basic controls make it easy to move through levels, dodge obstacles, and try to get your luggage to the destination as quickly as possible. There's also a map to guide you through the streets. Radical Relocation is a very entertaining game with dozens of levels, each one more difficult than the last. The more you play, the harder it gets to keep the luggage from falling off your vehicle.

Hotel Paradise is a first-person interactive experience where you play an unidentified character who wakes up inside a hotel room holding a room key. Your aim is simple: find the room that corresponds to the number on the key. Each game in Hotel Paradise is different from the previous one. Not much, it's true, but the game does have something unique about it. Each time you start a new game, you'll have a key with a different number, meaning you'll always have to look for a different room. Plus, the floor of the hotel that you're on is ... strangely gigantic and maze-like. After wandering through the halls for a good while it's possible that you come across your room. When you finally do, you have to open the door and see what's inside. Whatever it is, it will be something that's designed just for you. Hotel Paradise is a pretty strange game that, even if it doesn't sound particularly fun, does have an interesting premise. The graphics and the soundtrack are nice touches as well.

Don't be fooled, though, because beyond its fun, colorful graphics, there is a fast-paced and complicated gameplay that will challenge you to keep improving. In this game, you'll play as RunMan, a little star with eyes and a mouth, who loves nothing more than to run. To play, you'll have to help him run through more than 30 levels, trying to reach his goal in the shortest time possible. Despite being a platform game, the most important part of RunMan: Race Around the World is speed. The goal is not just to get through the levels, but to do it as fast as you can. To do so, you'll have to jump, bounce off walls, run over enemies, and more. As you complete levels and earn awards, you can unlock new characters. In fact, RunMan himself is an unlockable character from the legendary platform game, Super Meat Boy. RunMan: Race Around the World is an excellent platform game that has a simple gameplay that is easy to learn but extremely difficult to master.

Mechanics of the game are very similar to the games stated above. You move the character and interact with the scenario using the mouse. One of the outstanding elements of this independent and free game is its excellent graphics that make that set of lights and shadows to be really terrific. Candles is an excellent videogame you can play for free, so we recommend it.

This version of Vive le Football is, as NetEase has been doing with many of its releases, a direct emulation of the Android one, but optimized for Windows. This means the game has the exact same graphics as the mobile version, but with better resolution and performance. Likewise, the controls are perfectly adapted to use a keyboard: with the arrow keys, you'll control your player and with the keys A, S, W and D you can sprint, pass, center, and shoot the ball. The first thing you can do when you start playing Vive le Football, is choose the look of your 'manager.' This is your character, who you can move directly through your club's facilities and will always be on the sidelines directing the games. Once you have your coach, you just have to choose what league and club you want to start out with. This choice is very important, since the first matches will be played with the team you choose. One of the best things about Vive le Football is the great variety of game modes it offers. In addition to the classic tournaments, you can enjoy a great story mode where you'll get to relive certain matches that require you to complete specific objectives. For example, in one of them, you'll have to try to make a comeback in a game where your team is losing at 80 minutes into the game. Vive le Football is NetEase's latest big venture in the world of soccer games. We're talking about a title with a direct and fun gameplay, great graphics and official licenses. It may not yet be able to directly compete with FIFA or PES, but NetEase is certainly getting closer and closer.
