LUPA is a very special independent video game, where you will take on the role of a prostitute who is trying to earn enough money to get out of the life where they are currently trapped. What really makes the game intriguing isn't the subject matter itself, although that is already pretty original. No, it's the fact that to play the game you'll need not just a keyboard and a mouse, but also a webcam and a microphone. Using the webcam you'll have to lift up your shirt (yes you, the player) so that your avatar within the game (the prostitute) does the same and attracts clients. Meanwhile, you'll use the microphone to fake orgasms when you're with a client. In other words, it's pretty normal that when playing LUPA you find yourself with your shirt half-off, shouting at the top of your lungs so that your character does a good job. LUPA is a unique game in all aspects, and also has attractive 'pixel art' graphics. Even gameplay itself contains more than meets the eye.

Zorbus (Legacy Version) is a traditional-style roguelike where you delve into the depths of a randomly-generated dungeon as you try to find a portal to the mythical world of Zorbus (Legacy Version), a place where a simple mortal can transform into a deity. Gameplay in Zorbus (Legacy Version) is typical for the genre. With a numerical keyboard, you can move your character freely around the dungeon, attacking by moving onto the same square as an enemy. From the options menu, you can see all the available commands and change them if you like. Each time you start a new game, as in most roguelikes, the scenario is generated randomly. This way, you'll never play the same game twice. The dungeons in Zorbus (Legacy Version) are inhabited by creatures with artificial intelligence, which causes them to either run away, look for back up, or pursue you tirelessly, depending on the situation. Zorbus (Legacy Version) is an excellent old-school roguelike with an elegant and clean look, gameplay inspired by D20 but with its own personality, and infinite dungeons to loot if only you can stay alive.

The King of the Wood is a first-person adventure game set in a futuristic world where cyborgs live alongside humans. In it you play a detective charged with capturing renegade cyborgs. Your mission, revealed at the very start of the adventure, consists of going to a mansion where a cyborg has taken possession of the body and life of a human. Thus you'll grab your gun and your car and head to the mansion, prepared to complete your mission. Of course, The King of the Wood isn't just a walk in the park. In the mansion, you'll find different puzzles to solve and even some robots to shoot at, and in the end it's up to you to decide what to do once you've found your objective. Visually, The King of the Wood is quite impressive. Even without flashy graphics, the game's simple polygonal models and good use of light give it a great look. The King of the Wood is a really interesting interactive experience. It's not a typical game that you'd consider especially fun, but it does offer 'something different' that you can experience in less than 15 or 20 minutes.

Night of the Cephalopods is an old-school shooter where you have to survive incessant attacks by ghostly killer octopuses, thirsty for blood, all night long. No big deal. The gameplay is very similar to that of classics like Zombies Ate My Neighbors and Smash TV, with the difference that Night of the Cephalopods is a pretty short game. The number of levels is small and you only have one weapon, although it's more than enough to last the whole night. The strongest point of the game is that you hear the character's narration in first person throughout the whole adventure, announcing how he's running out of ammo, telling you where exactly he is and what he thinks about the place you've just visited. Night of the Cephalopods is a really fun action game. Besides offering a bit of novelty, it lets you use the Xbox 360 controllers, which is greatly appreciated in this type of game.

Manic Digger is a shameless clone of Minecraft that copies without modesty both the basic gameplay of the game and the graphics of the title created by Notch, to offer a practically identical game but with open codex and completely free. This way, in Manic Digger you start the game with a single character on a deserted island that's generated in a random way while you move on it, and that you can 'decompose' square by square. With the left click you can take away any block of the scenario (sand, earth, wood, stone...) and with the right click you can place a new block. In the present version of the game, the inventory is always full of each type of blocks in a similar way as it happens in the creative version of Minecraft. So, you will not have to worry about gathering materials when you start to create your houses, buildings, monuments and other structures. Another benefit you won't find in Manic Digger is the presence of enemy creatures or characters controlled by the artificial intelligence. Even so, you will have the possibility to play on servers with friends and even apply different mods and texture patches. Manic Digger is a very interesting alternative for Minecraft. Of course, it doesn't offer the same quantity or quality of benefits, but a quite similar general experience in a completely free way.

Sonic 2 HD

Sonic 2 HD is a high-definition remastering of the original Megadrive Sonic 2 carried out by a group of the saga's fans that have nothing to do with SEGA. Although considering the result, they might want to hire them. The game is basically what those who have spent a few years in the video game wold would know: a frenzied two-dimensional platform game where you have to go through a series of levels at full speed while collecting all of the rings that you can. Of course, you also have to watch out for monsters, but the majority of them aren't a big problem if you go fast enough. This version of the game, which is still in the "alpha" phase, includes the first world of the game, so you can only go up against the first big boss and the entire adventure will only take a few minutes. The short duration, fortunately, is made up for with spectacular graphics that will leave you in wide-eyed wonder. SEGA's blue hedgehog has never looked as good as he does in Sonic 2 HD, where his movements as well as his modelling are truly exquisite. The rest of the game: enemies, rings, scenarios... also, they are meticulously made with fantastic detail. Sonic 2 HD is a very fun game with outstanding graphics. And the best part of all is that it barely takes up any disk space, doesn't need to be installed and is perfectly optimized.

Running With Rifles is a very simple shooting game in which, from an aerial perspective, you will have to control a soldier in its battle against other enemy soldiers. At moments, the game resembles the mythical Cannon Fodder, although due to its early development stages, the amount of options and enemies on screen isn't too high. Still, it gives you the opportunity to throw grenades and shoot: more than enough to be quite fun. The game is developed in an open and quite spacious scenario and it allows lots of freedom, although differing from most shooting games, you will need to be very careful, as one single shoot can kill you. Running With Rifles is a very promising title that, in given moments and despite its current state, can offer heaps of fun.

Dungeon Fry is a roguelike where you pick from three different character types (warrior, wizard, or thief) to raid many different dungeons, killing all the enemies that cross your path along the way. As is common for this genre, the dungeons are generated randomly, giving rise to an almost infinite number of levels that will be plagued with tons of enemies and treasures (also placed randomly). In addition to weapons, players have nine different spells available to get rid of enemies. To use these spells, you have to level up and gain experience by killing enemies. Another traditional roguelike feature present in Dungeon Fry is the permadeath. If your character dies, it's all over for him and you have to start from the beginning with a new one. Dungeon Fry is a very fun RPG aimed mainly at players with more experience with roguelikes, who will find a challenge that's right at their level.

Jelly no Puzzle is a game that's as fun as it is complex. In it, your objective is to get all the gelatin together in each level, creating groups of two or more gelatin cubes. At first, the gameplay seems really simple, but once you start playing, you realize the levels appear to have been designed by Satan himself (or just some really twisted Japanese person). The solution for some of the puzzles seems obvious, but it's actually a lot more complicated than you could ever imagine. The game isn't finished yet, but it might as well be, since most players will never even reach level 9. Jelly no Puzzle is not one of those games that takes your hand and guides you through the first few levels; instead, it starts full on from the beginning. The gameplay, nevertheless, is very simple: you have to left-click on a jelly cube to move it to the left, and right-click to move it to the right. In this way, you have to try to get all the jelly cubes together, and it's definitely not easy. Jelly no Puzzle is a fun game with a simple gameplay but an extremely high level of difficulty. It will keep you hooked, trying to solve the puzzles for hours on end.

Steel Warriors is a two-dimensional fighting game made with the MUGEN engine that enables you to control the robots and vehicles from the Metal Slug franchise in one-on-one combat. The game has more than forty characters to choose from, including the classic tanks from Metal Slug as well as some of the normal cars that appear in the background from time to time. Naturally, each one has its own weapons. In addition to the normal characters that you can choose to use in a fight against a friend playing on the same computer, in Steel Warriors you'll meet more than twenty different bosses if you decide to play the game's story mode. Some of them are the same as the enormous final bosses in Metal Slug, and they'll fill practically your entire screen. Steel Warriors is a fun two-dimensional fighting game with an excellent two-player mode that you're sure to enjoy, not to mention its excellent one-player arcade mode for when no one is available to keep your company.

On this version, gBrainy makes its first appearance on Windows (the game was designed for Linux) and the graphics may not be as good-looking as they could be. The game, however, works perfectly.

If you want to change the color of Blob, just eat a citizen of the desired colour. The more citizens you eat, the bigger Blob will become. Moe Blob by using our mouse, at first it’s not easy but you’ll get used to it in a pair of minutes.

In My Only, you'll walk through a forest which is next to the cemetery where the protagonist's late wife is buried. Now, she roams and haunts the forest as a cursed ghost. As you play, you'll have to find notes that are scattered around, trying to piece together the relationship between the protagonist and his late wife. In addition to these notes, you can pick flowers once you enter the cemetery. You'll also need to find keys to open doors to other areas. At first, it might seem like My Only is just a pleasant walk, but you'll soon realize that's not the case. The ghost of the dead woman can be a little aggressive, and you might get hit by unexplained jets of water that come up from the ground and block your way. My Only is a first-person adventure with a pretty retro look. As is usual for these kinds of horror games, My Only is sure to make you jump from time to time.

Hale is a turn-based RPG that, making use of the engine and setting from the fantastic Battle for Wesnoth, offers a totally new story with its own characters and development apart from the original game. From the main game menu you can select the chapter of the campaign you want to play. In other words, depending on your prior experience you can start playing from Chapter 3 (although it's advisable to start from the first one, or even complete the tutorial beforehand). Hale shares many common elements with The Battle for Wesnoth, which you'll clearly notice when it comes time to do battle. Nevertheless, as the story develops, it offers many elements belonging to traditional role-play rather than strategy games. You can increase the number of characters in your group of adventurers, or change their equipment (armor, weapons, potions, etc.). In addition, you have the option to select different dialogue options in certain cases. Hale is a highly entertaining turn-based RPG, which in spite of its occasionally coarse interface offers both an interesting story line and an excellent challenge.

Stratus is an odd first-person game where you wake up wounded on the floor of a flying ship, not knowing exactly what's going on. Your goal will be, first and foremost, to heal the wound that made you pass out. Then you have to fix up the ship and then, only then, go to the upper deck to kill a few enemies using a machine gun. That done, all that's left is the last part of the game, which obviously I'm not going to tell you about here. The most remarkable thing about the game's beautiful graphics is the simplicity of its textures which, without being over the top, show enviable good taste. Stratus is a very short game that, despite lasting just a few minutes, will bring you a fair dose of fun.

There are two types of screens: in the first you have to dodge fireballs while crossing a bridge, and in the second you have to collect all the treasure while avoiding a dragon. The graphics, as usual, are pretty unattractive by today's standards, but if you've got more than 20 years of gaming at your back, they'll be all too familiar. Dragonfire is an enjoyable little game that will give you a good few minutes of frantic action just like the old days.

Night Slashers X is a completely free remake of the classic console game Night Slasher, for computers. This 'beat em up' is similar to the 'Final Fight'; in it, players take on the role of one of the bloody vampire-killers. In the game, the three protagonists embark on an adventure to terminate the plans of the evil King Zarutz, who is intent on turning the entire planet into a kingdom of monsters and living dead. In his pursuit he is, of course, aided by hordes of zombies and mutants. This way, our lead trio of characters will have to face hordes of enemies which range from classic zombies and fire elements, to vampires and Frankenstein monsters, all the way to werewolves and mummies. The best part of the game is the sheer number and amazingness of the attacks available to you, and they will almost always end with lots of blood splattered on your screen. The game, like most in its genre, can be enjoyed in co-op with friends. Plus, depending on who the main character is, you'll be able to see up to three different endings. Night Slashers X is a very fun action game that comes with eight different levels, six types of guns, dozens of different hits, over twenty different enemies, and enough material to keep you entertained for hours on end.
