The Bub's Brothers is a free clone of the classic Bubble Bobble (not to be confused with Puzzle Bobble) that you can play as a solo player or online with up to ten players. That's right, up to ten players can be jumping and throwing colored balls at the same time in the game's 100+ levels... Although, like the original game, it's best not to exceed two players. The controls in The Bub's Brothers are so simple that you can customize them right before playing. Use the mouse to choose the color of dragon you want and, once you click on it, you just have to tap which direction keys you want to use and which button you want to use to shoot balls. Death Rally was a very addicting game when it came out more than 15 years ago, and it still is today. Driving the different vehicles in the game is very fun, and destroying your opponents even more so.

OpenTyrian is a free open source version of the classic Tyrian, a vertical shooter game where you're the captain of a spaceship. You'll advance through levels that are filled with enemies and other dangerous things while shooting basically anything that moves. The gameplay is typical for this genre: your spaceship is located on the bottom of the screen and the enemies will appear from above and from the sides. You'll move and shoot using the keyboard. This requires a lot of talent, since you'll face more than a dozen enemies firing simultaneously and will have to avoid being shot. The game has five episodes (each with a final boss) and lots of different guns you can use (you'll always be carrying two). This is in story mode. In arcade mode you go on missions one after another without following any storyline. OpenTyrian is a very fun vertical shooter that shoot 'em up (SHUMP) fans will love, especially since this genre hasn't been very productive lately. Luckily, we always have the classics.

Foiled! in a 2D action platform game in which two players face off in enclosed settings, where your aim is to steal your enemy's soul. To steal the soul of your enemy (who is usually your friend, since you'll be playing the game together), you have to kill him first in a fencing match. One little touch with the tip of your rapier and your enemy will go down, soul already stolen. Once you have his soul in your power, you have to take it as quickly as possible to one of the two soul absorption points on the screen. At the same time, your opponent will reappear right at the place where you're trying to take the soul. You'll have to dodge or kill your opponent again in order to get the soul to the right place and get points. You play like this and the first one to get three points wins. Although it seems like a simple gameplay, you'll soon find out that Foiled! has a dynamic that you might not have expected when you first start playing. Foiled! is a very fun two-player arcade game that can be best enjoyed using Xbox 360 controllers. But, despite this, it's definitely possible for two players to enjoy the game using just a single keyboard (although it's not optimal).

Among them, of course, are the warrior, the dwarf, the Amazon, and the panther man. Each of them, besides their normal attacks and magic, has a series of moves not found in the original games. In Golden Axe Legend it's possible to counterattack and pull off lots of special moves, providing some additional depth to the game's combat system. It's no longer enough to simply hammer the attack button; instead you can gesture to summon the wind or fire, to give just one example. The game's development is no longer strictly linear either; instead you can choose your own path at certain moments, going through different phases depending on the directions you take. And once you've finished the main quest, you can also unlock new game modes. Golden Axe Legend is an excellent remake of/sequel to the classic SEGA game, offering hours of quality traditional beat 'em up action completely for free.
